Just three days after I was shocked to find a batch of airline deals, here I am again with another slew of discounts. Some are truly interesting--Singapore Air is heavily discounting premium economy--some are really nice to have--$200 off business class on Aer Lingus--and some are offensive in the way only airlines can be offensive (Breeze Airways' "nicest offer" is a $4 discount).
Taken in combination with Sunday's column, it's almost a buyer's market like the good old days. Happy shopping!
AIR CANADA: ALL OVER THE PLACE, ALL OVER THE WORLD
It's not easy to get a handle on what Air Canada is calling its Black Friday Sale. There seem to be bonus Aeroplan points (50% for coach flights, 100% for premium bookings), as many as 25,000 points back if you make an award booking and a scattershot approach to fare discounts. Some examples: C$150 one-way from Toronto to New York/LaGuardia; C$144 each way between Toronto and Vancouver; C$331 one-way from Montreal to Cancun; and C$213 between Toronto and Miami. The airline is discounting flight packages, too. Travel is permitted until June 30 if you book by Sunday, November, 27.
AER LINGUS: $200 OFF BUSINESS CLASS TO EUROPE
Owned by the same airline conglomerate that operates British Airways, Aer Lingus and its Dublin hub continue to be used as a reliever airport to overcrowded London/Heathrow. Thus the thrust of the Aer Lingus Black Friday offer: $100 off roundtrip coach fares and $200 off business class seats to Ireland, the United Kingdom and Europe. That means you can book Aer Lingus' excellent business class from more than a dozen U.S. gateways and Toronto into Dublin and onward to Britain or Europe in coach and get the $200 discount. Tickets must be purchased by December 1 for travel until May 31. And remember: Aer Lingus also flies nonstop to Manchester, England, from New York/JFK and Orlando.
AVELO AIRLINES: HONEST! IT'S A SALE!
To the surprise of no one, Avelo has extended and expanded its 50% off holiday sale because, honestly, I can't think of a time the start-up carrier hasn't run a fare sale. The first offer--coupon code TURKEY50--for "select" flights from November 29 to December 17 has been supplemented with code GOBBLE50 for travel between January 6 and February 15. Avelo currently flies along the West Coast as far east as Boise and Las Vegas and along the East Coast with spokes as far inland as Dubuque, Iowa. The promo codes are valid at the Avelo Web site until midnight on Friday, November 25.
BREEZE AIRWAYS: WE'LL BE NICE, SO SAVE $4 ON UPGRADES
Here's a reminder that you should always look gift horses in the mouth, especially when airlines are promoting them as a Black Friday sale. Breeze Airways, David Neeleman's latest start-up, is selling $5 upgrades to its Nicest (first class) cabin when you buy a Nicer (premium economy) seat on its A220 aircraft. So what does its "nicest Black Friday sale" offer? One-dollar upgrades. So if you're hot to save $4 on an upgrade, purchase them between November 25 and November 27 for travel from November 27 to May 16. By the way, Nicest seats are configured 2x2 with 39 inches of pitch
IBERIA: COACH TO EUROPE FOR $522 ROUNDTRIP
I can't be sure, but Iberia's Black Friday sale looks like a repackaged version of its winter and spring fares, but there is a purchase window (November 24-28) and a specific travel period (January 10-June 15). Moreover, prices are not set. They slide based on departure dates, so you'll have to judge the value of this sale for yourself. The featured price is to Madrid--$522 roundtrip--but the airline is also pumping Chicago-Barcelona ($547), Los Angeles-Lisbon ($684) and Dallas-Rome ($646). Fares are also available from its New York, Miami, Boston and San Francisco gateways.
ICELANDAIR: $999 IN PREMIUM ECONOMY, PLUS FREE STOPOVER
Icelandair doesn't have a business class anymore, so when we talk about Saga Premium cabin, we're talking a spacious enough (40-inch pitch) premium economy. The price is right, though: as little as $999 roundtrip to Europe with a free, 7-day stopover in Iceland. (Icelandair flights to Europe operate via Reykjavík, of course.) That covers 15 cities on the mainland and Britain. This is also a bifurcated deal, since Icelandair has also pegged coach roundtrip prices below $400. That includes a free, 3-day stopover in Iceland. A Saturday stay is required on coach prices. The travel period varies, but tickets must be purchased by midnight Sunday.

LATAM, the South American behemoth, is promising Black Friday deals, but nothing has yet posted. But, in fairness, it's not Friday yet. Consult this page to see what the carrier will promote.

Norse Atlantic is trying to fill the low-fare transatlantic gap left by Norwegian Air's withdrawal. Norse is smaller and more careful than Norwegian and that means its promotions are more limited, too. That means only a sale in the pack-'em-coach cabin on the carrier's Boeing 787 Dreamliners, many of them inherited from Norwegian. The prices are enticing if you're just looking at a cheap ride. They include $119 one-way nonstop from New York/JFK to either Berlin or London/Gatwick; $139 from JFK to Oslo or Fort Lauderdale to Berlin; and $159 from FLL to Oslo. Singapore Airlines continues to pursue its triple route strategy: ultra-long-haul nonstops to its hub at Changi Airport, connecting flights around Asia and, of course, quirky third-country nonstops to places such as Tokyo, Frankfurt and Manchester. The good news: It has posted genuine Black Friday deals in all three categories. On its New York/JFK-Frankfurt nonstops, for instance, prices are pegged at $989 roundtrip in premium economy and a truly attractive $2,089 in business class. It's $1,699 in premium economy on nonstops from LAX to Tokyo. In the ultra-long-haul arena, it's $1,499 in premium economy between San Francisco and Singapore and $1,399 from New York to Changi. Tickets must be purchased by Tuesday, November 29. Travel dates vary by destination, but are generally available starting around December 1 through October, although there are many blackout dates.
